Pan-American meeting of Capuchins

The second Pan-American meeting of the Capuchins took place from February 4 to 12 at the Pinares retirement home in Bogota, Colombia. About sixty brothers from all over America participated in this gathering to explore different aspects of the mission, formation, structures and collaboration between Capuchins across the American continent.

The program included workshops, presentations on themes derived from the Breath of Life document, group discussions and plenary sessions. Specific themes such as the Ratio Formationis , the Schola Fratrum  and the project of the Fraternities of Saint Lawrence of Brindisi were also discussed.

Stemming from a desire expressed by General Minister Brother Roberto Genuin in his first circular letter to the Order in 2019, the Pan-American Capuchin Meeting seeks to provide a platform for deepening reflection and collaboration among Capuchins across the Americas.

The inaugural Pan-American meeting of the Capuchins in 2022 served as an opportunity to return to pressing issues regarding the brothers' apostolic activities. She underlined the urgency of remaining faithful to the Constitutions and the need to renew our missionary commitments.

This second Pan-American meeting in Bogota aimed to strengthen this dialogue and continue to encourage fraternal collaboration between the brothers in the evangelization effort throughout the American continent.
